: is it worth purchasing the ms arcade pinball? i enjoy the old 70s and 80s games. any personal reviews out there?Oops sorry about the first blank message. Buy it....buy it now. I love the simulations of real machines, and these ones are as good as they get. I even enjoy baffle ball, (which I didn't expect to). The game also includes some pinball trivia (via the help button) and some interesting facts about the machines and playfield "maps" and scoring hints. I was hoping for this type of stuff, but didn't find it right away. The Haunted House machine is one of my least favorites. The glass in the middle of the playfield throws me off and does make for very interesting game play. So if you're not quite sure about the demo, don't worry, the rest of the tables are better (imho). It's interesting to play on a machine from each decade since 1930. My only complaint is the fact the ball has a tendency to "float" a bit near the top of the tables. (by "float", I mean it seems like it should be slowing down, but then doesn't) It mostly happens when you first launch the balls; it happens in the demo too, so watch for it. Great game. Hopefully MS will make more in the series (and maybe, make my 1964 Monte Carlo machine :-) =BBBrox= PS. the full install doesn't require the CD to run (just in case this makes a difference to anyone's purchasing decision), but you don't get the music.
